A. Yes. Our catering company, Bold American Catering, has been ranked by Event Solutions magazine as one of the top four catering companies nationally. It is one of Atlanta's top 10 largest catering companies and is located in the King Plow Arts Center. This turn-of-the-century renovated plow factory, with abundant natural light and 30-foot ceilings, is home to our 9,000 square foot Event Gallery. It's perfect for corporate or social events. Or, we can provide off-site service in your home, office or other venue.

Q. Why the intown Atlanta area?

A. We believe fine food and wine are intrinsic to the intown Atlanta personality and part of what makes it a special place to live, work and play. As the cultural center of the city, Midtown is a natural match for our restaurants. Our commitment to the intown area also extends to participation in benefit fundraisers and events for the High Museum of Art, Zoo Atlanta, the Children's Museum of Atlanta, Atlanta Community Food Bank and other local nonprofit organizations. Fifth Group Restaurants Partner Steve Simon also participates in the Midtown Alliance Crescent Avenue Area Planning Committee.

In addition, our catering menus, which include cuisine themes such as Latin American, Asian, Italian, Southern and Cajun, are varied so that they can be custom created to fit each and every event.

Q. What makes Fifth Group Restaurants different from other Atlanta restaurants?
A. Fifth Group Restaurants has very strong expectations about what our guests should experience when they dine in our restaurants or at one of our events. Service is defined as not just the delivery of food and beverage to a guest, but carrying our service to the next level which includes showing genuine interest, concern and assistance for the general well being and happiness of the guest. Our staff strives to continually go beyond the call of duty to care for, educate, explain and exceed the expectations of all the people around them.

Q. What is your goal as a company?

A. The goal of Fifth Group Restaurants is to be a leader in the areas of employee and guest relations, quality and dependability in beverage and food preparation, innovative design, staff professionalism, facility cleanliness and community goodwill. All employees possess a professional sincere commitment to upholding our goal of satisfying every guest on every visit.

Q. Do any of the Fifth Group Restaurants facilities have an interesting history?
A. Many of the Fifth Group Restaurants are housed in historically significant buildings. Our first restaurant, South City Kitchen, is located in a renovated 1920's bungalow. At the time the restaurant was built, Crescent Street was nearly vacant and South City Kitchen was the first casual fine dining restaurant in the area.

Food Studio and the Event Gallery, where Bold American Catering holds its onsite events, are both located in the historical King Plow Arts Center. The building complex, which is on the National Historic Registry, was originally a plow manufacturing plant from 1902. It was renovated by the grandson of the original owner, King Shaw into a mixed use facility that houses 85 residential and commercial studios. The original elements of the nearly 100-year-old building are showcased in a design that's created around wood, concrete, brick, marble, steel and glass. In 1994, King Plow Arts Center received an award of excellence from the Atlanta Urban Design Commission.
